Graphics & Sound:
Vegas Games features superb crisp graphics. Each casino table or machine looks like it's real life Las Vegas counter part. Bright, colorful, flashing lights, beautiful animations, and the green carpet of the card tables are all here, making for a very realistic look and feel. That's important in a game like this - you want everything to look familiar so you can really get you lost in the game. The sound effects are also the familiar beeps, whistles, and the sounds of your hard earned money going in the machines. Music is played during the background which keeps you in a nice calm mood, although no music -no matter how good it is- will keep you calm after you just lost your whole savings on one game of blackjack. :)

Gameplay:
The gameplay is what you would expect from a game of this calibur, which is purely and simply Las Vegas gaming. If you are expecting anything else, then you will be disappointed. The game itself features more then 20 casino games. Yes there all here: craps, baccarat, blackjack, keno, money wheel, roulette, video keno, and video poker. All of the games play just like their big brothers in Vegas. The rules are exactly the same, so if you're a casino/gambling buff or new to the games of Las Vegas, you can brush up on some of your playing skills before you bet the house and the kids' college money in the real Las Vegas. ;)

Difficulty:
Game difficulty varies. Everyone that has been to Vegas, or is familiar with the types of games played there will have absolutely no problem jumping into this game. Simply go to the ATM, get some cash and have a blast at any of the 20 games. If you're one of the few people that have never played or seen a Vegas type of game, then you're in luck. In the games manual, 3DO did a good job of explaining every game in detail, so you can become familiar with some of the rules of how to win and exactly what to do at each different game. After that, it's just a matter of luck, so get your four leaf clovers, horseshoes, and rabbits' feet out.

Game Mechanics:
Controls are very simple and effective. Your D pad controls movement and navigation, Start enters and exits the different games in the casino, the A button is used to increase your bets, and the B button decreases bets placed. There is a password save built into the game so you can play for awhile then come back later and continue were you left off at. Overall, this is a great game. I'm sure this will appeal more to adults then children, but there is no reason why anyone shouldn't be able to enjoy it. This is the closest thing that anyone is going to get to gambling without actually taking a trip to Las Vegas, and best of all you don't have to worry about losing all your hard earned money. But, then again, if you win big, you're going to wish that all that money was real.
