The Game Initiative has announced that the third annual Austin Game Conference (AGC) will take place Thursday and Friday, October 27-28, 2005 in Austin, Texas. Austin Game Conference is the definitive conference for networked game development, including massively multiplayer online games, mobile and wireless games and devices, and online PC and console games. The Mobile Game Conference, the premiere event for mobile game developers, takes place concurrently with AGC.

More than 1,400 people from around the world participated in the 2004 Austin Game Conference, up from 850 people at the first AGC in 2003. The Austin Game Conference draws from an international audience with attendees, speakers and exhibitors from as far away as China, Korea, France, U.K., Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia.

AGC is marketed internationally and provides a venue where developers, technologists, and business professionals can network with colleagues, learn from industry leaders, stay informed about the latest tools, technologies and techniques, and get business done in a relaxed atmosphere. Attendees include decision-makers setting the standards and looking for insights to improve their businesses, and they come to AGC to get the opportunity to drill down to the key issues.

The 2005 Women's Game Conference will take place Wednesday and Thursday, October 26-27, 2005, just prior to and during AGC 2005.
