The biggest announcement about both games will be the tag feature. Both series have dabbled in the past with tag-teams. Capcom has the wildly successful
Marvel vs. Capcom and Namco had
Tekken Tag Tournament, so this comes as an extra bonus for eager fans who want to settle the score once and for all.
For me, my only concern lies in the translation of the fighting mechanics. Admittedly, that is a big concern. Tekken games use a four button system (one button for each limb,) and I don't know how that will translate into Street Fighter's six button system (weak, medium, fierce), as well as EX moves and Ultra combos. The same can be said for Street Fighter going into a world with side steps and juggles. It'll be interesting to say the least, but I hope neither studio decides to make a party-style game like Marvel vs. Capcom or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom because those games already occupy that space. I have faith that both games will be excellent despite my concerns, but I am just being cautious.
