The next stop is a fishing trip. Unfortunately, they're just five minutes late and miss the big tour boat. But the random guy there, Jim (Ben Oxenbould), tells them that if what they're wanting is to fish, he can take them out. So they just hop in this little metal boat with a random guy and off they go. We do get to see some beautiful shots of the countryside while they're roaming around looking for the perfect spot. Eventually, they find a secluded spot and put lines in the water. Now so far, we're about 20 minutes or so into the movie, and nothing has happened.
Luckily, a crocodile decides that he's hungry and flips their boat over. From this point on, the movie should be called "stuck in a tree whining." The rest of the movie takes place in the same 1000 sq ft or so. They go through various discussions about how they're going to get out of this predicament. We were just hoping the crocodile would eat them all quickly so the movie would be over!
The DVD also includes a few deleted scenes, 4 minutes of them total, none of which would have made this movie any better. There is also audio commentary from the writers/directors, if you really want to hear what they were thinking when they made this. At least listening to them makes you a little less bored. If you want to see any of the behind the scenes stuff, there's a making of featurette available. It's more interesting than the movie.
The best special feature though is the trailer. It's two minutes long and includes pretty much every good scene in the movie. The only redeeming factor the movie has is the actors, crocodile included. I was impressed at the job they did. Yes we were rooting for the crocodile, but that's not the fault of the actors. They did a good job with the script they were given. They did use a real crocodile, and he was awesome to watch in action.
Basically, if you really want to see this movie, just watch the trailer. You'll see everything worth seeing in the movie in it. Just don't fall for it because the trailer does make the movie look like it would be good, and it's quite possibly one of the most boring, if not the absolute most boring, movie that I've ever sat all the way through.
