Touched By An Angel: The Sixth Season is a welcomed sight. The stories are inspiring and compelling. Della Reese (Tess), Roma Downey (Monica), and John Dye (Andrew) are three angels sent by God to assist in spiritual healing, conviction in faith, and direction in doing God's will. Stories may consist of dealing with job loss; death in the family; appreciating our talent; or dealing with truth, unworthiness, guilt, pain, memories, or just making a decision to act in God's behalf.

Touched By An Angel: The Sixth Season is a God-centered show and is unrelated to any particular religion or creed, but focuses on how much God loves each and every one of us and how He has provided a way to deal with our challenges in life. By this angelic intervention, He shows us the way to work through our problems and spiritually evolve in life.

This Sixth Season made me realize the importance of prayer for those in circumstances not brought to light by everyday news, such as the horror of human slavery in Sudan in "Such A Time As This," the everyday problems of migrant workers in "The Letter," Northern Ireland teens trying to find peace in "Life Before Death," and American soldiers dealing with the death and destruction of war in "The Compass." The show settles on the conflict of human behavior with ordinary difficulties in life and death, love and hate, family and marriage, and wealth and poverty. The most outstanding episode was "The Occupant" where a deranged and suicidal homeless guy, Lonnie (Titus Welliver), is possessed. My favorite episode was "Here I Am" with Ed Asner dealing with the obsession of a painting to avoid reality, and artist Antonio (Giancarlo Esposito) on the verge of destruction because his painting doesn't seem to get any emotional reaction. This series is star-studded with reknown entertainers such as Charlotte Church, Kenny Rogers, Ann-Margret, Kirk Douglas, Louie Anderson, Cicely Tyson, Winona and Naomi Judd, Ann Jillian, Marcia Cross, and Kathy Lee Gifford, among many others.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll smile because Touched By An Angel: The Sixth Season encompasses all of your emotions and opens your eyes to everyday situations that cause people to cry out to God for help... and He sends his angels Tess, Monica and Andrew to bring hope and strength to enlighten their path. Each episode of this series brings a wholesome, positive solution to families. I once had a teacher tell me to take the "golden nuggets" of life and put them in my imaginary knapsack and they would help me follow Life's road. This show definitely is a wealth of wisdom for the journey.
