The Hills: The Complete Fourth Season once again brings back my favorite guilty pleasure - observing the selfish lives of the most vapid folks on TV. This season, changes abound and some aren't so great for the girls of The Hills. For starters, Heidi and Spencer are fully back together, but Spencer's interference in Heidi's life causes her to lose her job at Bolthouse and drives away her sister, Holly (who decides to move to L.A. and crash with her and Spencer for a while) and her mother. The nail in the coffin is when Spencer whisks Heidi away to Cabo for a romantic getaway where he convinces her to marry him with no one else in attendance. Heidi's mother's heart is broken at being left out of the wedding, but fortunately, they decide to not make it final at the Justice of the Peace, so a real wedding (lavish, no doubt) can be thrown.

Whitney's job at People's Revolution takes her to New York where she meets and falls for a dreamy Australian musician, after having a brief fling with a male model. Things really get crazy when her boss suggests her for a PR job at Dianne von Furstenberg and she takes it, leaving L.A. and starting a whole new life! Audrina continues to have drama with on again/off again boyfriend Justin, but the two finally connect on a deeper level and commit to one another, sort of. Audrina also continues to have static with Lo since they all moved in with Lauren, until Audrina finally gets a house of her own.

Lauren continues to cause drama with Spencer and Heidi by first continuing to be friends with Spencer's little sister, Stephanie, and then allowing Holly to crash at her place when she is kicked out by Spencer and Heidi. Heidi also realizes how much she misses LC and tries to patch things up, but Lauren accepts her apology with the caveat of lesson learned - they are still not friends. LC also has some drama when she starts dating her high school sweetheart, Doug, but then breaks it off, only to have Stephanie go out with Doug, behind her back. Seriously, these people create drama where there is none!

Personally, I just really enjoy the blank stares that everyone is always giving one another and all of the "like, oh my God!" comments that abound. I just find the show amusing in general. Plus, who can argue with the really awesome music that they play in the background on every episode. This time, there were a number of special features included, but not all are worthwhile. Deleted scenes were fun to watch, as were the interviews. The photo shoots were so-so and quick, but the "oh my God" remix was hilarious! They run together all of the times Whitney says "oh my God" and it's pretty funny. They also have countdowns on blank stares and stuff like that. I like that they had fun with it. There's also the Virtual Hills, but that doesn't do anything for me personally.

If you are a fan of the show and have been following it, you'll definitely want to catch this season. Lots happens and although I have boiled it down to a few paragraphs, it is something that must be seen to be appreciated.
