The design of the
EdgeFX is very interesting, but has some shortcomings. While the left hand controller is designed to be removable from the cradle that is part of the mousepad, the cradle causes the bottom of the mouse pad to be uneven, preventing you from setting it down on its own on a flat surface. Additionally, the mouse and the left hand controller are connected by a cord, so they can only be so far apart to begin with. If you choose to use the
EdgeFX in its docked mode, you'll find that since the cradle doesn't have any locking mechanism, the left hand controller will sometimes come out of the cradle if you don't make a conscious effort to keep it there. In particular, pressing on the Focus button will often dislodge the left hand controller from the
EdgeFX if you're not careful.
With a little bit of practice, the EdgeFX controller can provide excellent control for First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters and Action/Adventure titles. This is especially suited for gamers who are more familiar with PC gaming.
