The device seems to work by spinning an unbalanced rotor -- you can see it through the clear case. It starts and stops quickly, giving a nice solid rumble reminiscent of the Dual Shock. Of course, it?s on the bottom of the controller, so you don?t get quite the full-bodied feel that you do with the Dual Shock itself, but that?s certainly not the fault of the Pack.
The removal clasp, such as it is, is easy to use with one hand. This makes taking it out of one controller and putting it in another a snap. (Pardon the pun.)
In fact, the only issue one might have with the Pack is that it?s not a completely snug fit inside the controller port. It can wiggle around a little, and although I don?t think that hurts either the Pack or the controller, it?s a tad disconcerting.
As I said before, for what the Vibration Pack does, it does very well.
